The stack-audit prompt: find out what you are paying for twice
Copy this into any AI assistant with a list of your monthly software subscriptions and let it find the overlap for you.
Before you can decide whether to consolidate your tools, you need an honest list of what each one is actually doing for you, not what it was bought to do. This prompt does that work in one pass.
Copy the prompt below, paste in a plain list of your monthly software subscriptions (name and rough monthly cost is enough), and let the assistant group them by job rather than by category. The output is a short table you can act on: what each tool is really for, where two tools are doing the same job, and which one job still has nothing covering it.
Use the copy button to grab the prompt exactly as written.
Once you have the table above, the overlap it finds is usually solved by shared memory rather than one more subscription. Brain keeps your offers and context in one place for every app to read, and SignalDek is the kind of ad and angle research job this audit often shows people paying for twice.
You are auditing my software subscriptions for overlap and gaps. I will give you a list of tools and their rough monthly cost. For each tool, work out: 1. The ONE job it is actually doing for me today (not what it is capable of, what I actually use it for). 2. Whether any other tool on my list is doing that same job. Then give me back: - A short table: Tool | Job it does | Overlaps with - A list of jobs that TWO OR MORE tools are covering, so I can see where I am paying twice - A list of jobs that NOTHING on my list is covering, so I can see the real gaps Do not recommend new tools to buy. Only work with what I give you. If you are not sure what a tool's real job is from the name alone, ask me one clarifying question about it before you finish the table. Here is my list: [paste your tools and monthly costs here]
